Things My Nephews Say

This anecdote is a little bit older, but I had jotted it down and after scanning through my list of anecdotes, I decided to include it this week.
A few months ago, I was doing some things in my room, and Kyle was in there with me. I have a bookshelf in my room, which has many books, many of which my nephews love to thumb through while they are in there. Among those books is one that Gina got me when I was about ten or so that consists of the internal anatomy of the human body and is separated into each of the body systems with a virtual model in the middle (It's much more interesting than it sounds, I promise.) Cody and Kyle have an unnatural fascination with this book, and are always admiring it when they get the chance. On this day, Kyle was looking through said book. Here is the conversation that followed:

K: "Beep.....Beep.....Beep....."
--Slightly puzzled look from me--
K: "Beep.....Beep....."
A: "Kyle, why are you saying 'beep' ?"
K: "I'm looking through the book backwards, and I say 'beep' everytime I back up, like a truck!"

Ah, kids sure do say the darndest things! I hope this brought a smile to your day, and I also hope that everyone has a great weekend!
